oPhone Is Coming Out Soon in September, 2009

This blog is originally from http://www.swfkits.com/swf-converter-blog/ophone-is-coming-out-soon-in-september-2009/

oPhone is the first China Mobile customized TD-SCDMA phone based on OMS(Open Mobile System) operating system.

OMS is the system platform developed by the No.1 mobile carrier China Mobile. It's based on Google Android and a lot of mobile applications were added to make it powerful. China Mobile once was trying hard to bring Apple iPhone to China, very exciting news for Apple fans here in China but unfortunately this plan was aborted. After the failure of this international connection of two mobile giants, China Mobile has transferred its attention to develop its own operating system, which is OMS.

Lenovo, one of the leading mobile technology products manufacturers and one of loyal business partners of China Mobile, officially announces the release of oPhone in the late September, 2009. This phone is unanimously believed to represent the prioritizing TD Terminal of China Mobile.

ChenWenHui, vice President of Lenovo mobile, said: "Lenovo O1 phone is the result of years accumulation of smart products development and TD research, and it's also a key step to bring Lenovo to a new 3G era and a rich and colorful mobile interconnection era as well."

Microsoft Silverlight Aims to Compete with Adobe Flash

This blog is originally from http://www.swfkits.com/swf-converter-blog/microsoft-silverlight-aims-to-compete-with-adobe-flash/

Technologically, Microsoft Silverlight is almost on the same level with Adobe Flash, but speaking market, Microsoft Silverlight is still crawling and has a long way to go.

In the past two years, Microsoft has dedicated too much technical resources to enhance Silverlight's performance. Now, Microsoft Silverlight can compete with Adobe Flash technologically, but still has to speed its pace to follow Adobe Flash when talking about market.

It's true Microsoft Silverlight already has some big customers like football league, but the giant video websites like Youtube and Hulu are still using Adobe Flash. The worse, some customers, British Television ITV, for example, even abandoned Microsoft Silverlight recently and then turn to Adobe Flash immediately. The worst, even Microsoft's own network assets such as MSN and Bing seldom use Silverlight or use it conservatively. However, this situation is changing.

Early this week, Microsoft proposed Silverlight will be used in the latest vision search function of Bing, to present searching results in a very unique visual way. The source also said later this year, MSN is expected to be redesigned using maximum Silerlight technology.

According to estimation, Adobe Flash is installed in 90% of Internet PCs, while Microsoft Silverlight only counts 1/3. For Microsoft, the existence of Adobe is just like the existence of Microsoft for other operating system companies and office software companies. Silverlight is not only in relation with how to deliver online videos in PCs but also in relation with the future network planning of Microsoft Office software, etc. What for sure is the web designers need better software to make their interfaces rich and pretty, no matter that is Microsoft Silverlight or Adobe Flash.

Both Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight are required to be installed before watching videos online. And the current situation is most video websites use Adobe Flash due to its popularity and accordingly, most users choose Adobe Flash. This cause-and-effect relation is the key for Microsoft to increase the share of Silverlight.

Adrian Ludwig, the Group Manager of Adobe Flash said: "A few years ago, Adobe was very very nervous when gigantic Microsoft entering this field with Silverlight."

But recently, Adobe Flash has relaxed vigilance by saying : "I begin to doubt whether Microsoft Silverlight will be as popular as Adobe Flash and whether it will satisfy the demand of the market as Adobe Flash does."

Executives of Microsoft immediately respond: "The Silverlight customers are rising, especially after the release of the 3rd version. This version supports auto-negotiable adjust the video resolution and uninterrupted video playback according to network status."

Obama Heckled by Joe Wilson During Joint Session Health Care Speech

This blog is originally from http://www.swfkits.com/swf-converter-blog/obama-heckled-by-joe-wilson-during-joint-session-health-care-speech/

And special thanks to this website for some information excerpted here.

The nastiness of Sept hot weather reaches the Capitol as President Barack Obama spoke about his health care plan. South Carolina Republican Rep. Joe Wilson shouted "You lie!" after Obama talked about illegal immigrants.

The context is this: after Obama said "There are also those who claim that our reform efforts would insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false. The reforms -- the reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally. ", an audience suddenly shouted "You lie!".

That guy is Obama heckler-Joe Wilson, a member of the Columbia World Affairs Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Sinclair Lodge 154, Jamil Temple, Woodmen of the World, Sons of Confederate Veterans(SCV),……

This is an organization that, as the SPLC(Southern Poverty Law Center) has detailed assiduously, has been taken over in the past decade by radical neo-Confederates who favor secession and defend slavery as a benign institution. Leading the takeover is a radical racist named Kirk Lyons, who's been an important legal figure on the far right for some years.

In more recent years, the takeover has led to an outright internal civil war, and this rift has led to Lyons himself coming under harsh attack from his own right flank. The SCV is a serious mess.

Now, add this to the fact that Joe Wilson, as a state legislator, was one of only seven Republicans to go against their own party and vote to keep the Dixie Rebel flag flying over the South Carolina capitol.

A clearer picture of why this congressman might so virulently breach protocol and loudly interrupt an African-American president's speech to Congress by calling him a liar does start to emerge, doesn't it?

Gmail Down “4U”

This blog is originally from http://www.swfkits.com/swf-converter-blog/gmail-down-%e2%80%9c4u%e2%80%9d/

Gmail, one of the prides of giant Google company, went down Tuesday for about an hour and half on Sep, 01st, from 13:00 to 14:25, pacific time.

This is the second outage Gmail has suffered so far. The previous wide and long outage was on May, 14th this year.

Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment, but did acknowledge and apologize for the outage on its Gmail blog.

I'm not depressed because I don't use Gmail too much, instead, I'm very thankful that this issue inspires me to realize how people depend on social medias nowadays.

People get used to twitter their every movement to let others know what you are doing, even if you can only type 140 characters. What if no Twitter?

People get used to call and text each other every day, even if there is nothing serious to tell. What if no mobile phones?

People get used to send messages by MSN or emails, even if your colleagues are just sitting beside you. What if no messengers and emails?

People get used to arm themselves with endless electronics, hide themselves behind computer screens, indulge themselves in bantch of illusory programs……what if the technosphere bubble bursts someday?

Gmail down "4U", thank you, finally we have some time to breathe fresh air, enjoy a cup of coffee, communicate with people face to face, hear the sound of a human voice, go out for a walk and the most important, to know who we really are!

Seize the time because Gmail won't always down for you!
